This should make getting to the world’s largest shopping mall a lot easier…

Five new bridges directly linking to The Dubai Mall are set to open next month, reports Gulf Business. The new bridges are currently being built to ease road access to the shopping mall.

The new bridges are set to open in February, according to a statement, although we’re not yet sure of the exact date.

The new link bridges will connect The Dubai Mall with Doha Road and Financial Centre Road, and are part of wider plans for Dubai Mall’s Zabeel expansion.

Combined, the new bridges span a length of over 1.78 kilometres, with a total deck area of about 15,000 square metres.

The longest bridge is over 765 metres, with the other four varying in length from 120 to 582 metres.

Emaar has already opened link bridges from the Dubai Metro station as well as between Address Boulevard and the Metro Link, making these the next phase of new bridge links.

The Dubai Mall, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, has welcomed over 80 million annual visitors for the past four consecutive years.

According to estimates by the Dubai Department of Tourism, about 98 per cent of all annual visitors to the city visit the mall.

The new Zabeel expansion will add further retail, F&B and entertainment options while the mall will also add 5,000 additional parking spots. It joins the recently opened Fashion Avenue extension, which opened last year.
