He’s already touched down in Dubai…

Ahead of appearing at The Assembly concert at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre this Saturday March 23, Hugh Jackman has arrived in Dubai to attend the event for the Global Teacher Prize.

At the Saturday concert, a tribute to teachers and the excellent work they do, fans will also be treated by a special performance from Jackman and Loren Allred, the singer of The Greatest Showman’s hit song ‘Never Enough’. It will be the first time the duo have taken to the stage together in Dubai.

He may have only just arrived, but Hugh Jackman has already been busy exploring the best of Dubai. He shared a video on his Instagram from a trip to the desert, proving that it’s not all work and no play for him on this trip.

The annual event held in Dubai celebrates the incredible work that teachers from around the world are doing each year. A $1million prize is given and Jackman recently announced the top 10 finalists for the Global Teacher Prize.

Speaking about the impact teachers have had on his life he said, “I can tell you right now, from where I stand, with all my experience, the real superheroes are teachers — they’re the ones that change the world. I have always felt the most important job in the world is teaching.”

Superstar girlband Little Mix, former One Direction-er Liam Payne and Rita Ora complete the impressive concert line-up for this Saturday.

Rita Ora has also arrived in Dubai, and posted a snap of her Emirates flight from Singapore to Dubai yesterday. We’re still waiting for the Your Song hitmaker to share what she’s been up to since she arrived in the UAE.
