Five alternative ladies’ nights to try in Dubai

Ramadan is upon us but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy a mid-week girls’ night.

Skip the traditional dinner-and-drinks ritual for something a little different, the city has begun to offer some new, unique ladies’ night events to try. So whether it’s the cinema, a games night or a pamper evening, here are five alternative ladies’ nights to try in Dubai.

Pamper yourself

Tuesday nights are for relaxing at SoSPA, with Diva’s Night in Sofitel Dubai the Palm. For Dhs299, ladies can enjoy two 30-minute treatments or one 60-minute full body massage followed by a refreshing mocktail and canapes. Complete use of the spa’s facilities that include a sauna and steam room, ice fountains, a hydro pool and a plunge pool is also included.

Smash something

Is your boss stressing you out? Or the kids driving you crazy? Don’t take your anger out on those around you, take it out on inanimate objects at The Smash Room. Every Monday from 6pm is ladies’ night with cool discounts such as 25 per cent off, or 10 free glasses to smash. The best kind of stress relief!

Unwind with a board game

This Tuesday May 14, Unwind Cafe is offering ladies free coffee and iced tea all day while they game to their hearts content. The specialty cafe offers over 500 board games to play with friends and family. So whether you want to show your Scrabble skills, master the Monopoly board or win a game of Operation, Unwind is the place to be.

Catch a chick flick

VOX cinemas has a ladies’ night which takes place a couple of times a month at their locations in Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif. The next one will take place on Monday June 3, with an exclusive screening of The Hustle, starring Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway. Tickets for the ladies-only cinema night are priced at Dhs80 and include tickets to the screening of a new blockbuster, popcorn, a soft drink, a choice of main course and goodie bags to take away.

Ride the wave

For the girls who shudder at the thought of sitting still for a whole evening, Wavehouse has a weekly ladies’ night which takes place every Tuesday. The Atlantis fun house offers up Dhs100 worth of free arcade game credit, 50 per cent off bowling and a free ride on their Surf’s Up wave rider.
