The chefs have been tasked with ‘putting Dubai on a plate’…

One of Dubai’s many compelling factors, is its thriving food scene. Many of its homegrown concepts deliver unique and forward-thinking concepts which is what makes this emirate such an exciting place to dine.

EAT DXB, a not-for-profit initiative founded by Bull & Roo owner Tom Arnel and mystery restaurant reviewer FoodSheikh, is launching a series of events where the food community of Dubai can meet, exchange ideas and discuss the industry.

The first event, taking place on Sunday June 16, is called Eat the City. It’s a collaborative dinner where guests can enjoy a one-off menu created by top Dubai chefs: Former Zuma chef Reif Othman, Australian chef Greg Malouf, Ruya’s Liz Stevenson, cooking show host Mohammad Orfali, one half of Tom & Serg Tom Arnel and What’s On Award winners Nick & Scott.

From 7pm to 10pm, diners can enjoy a meal prepared by some of the most creative cooks in the biz, while engaging in discussions related to Dubai’s food and beverage community.

On Monday June 17 will be a panel discussion called Eat Talks, taking the topic further in-depth and featuring ‘key change-makers and futurists’. The talk will run from 7pm to 10pm, also at Tom & Serg and tickets are priced at Dhs185 per person.

Further events are expected to be announced soon, with many of Dubai’s leading food and beverage experts keen to take part.
