The dessert-based restaurant is due to open in mid-September, and will have only 10 – 12 seats…

The mastermind behind award-winning Asian restaurant, 3Fils, is due to open another in Dubai this year. Called Brix, the sister restaurant will only serve desserts and drinks including premium tea and coffee, and chocolate bon bons and ganache for dine-in and takeaway.

Guests can expect to find around 15 dessert items from 3Fils past and present. In a teaser on the dessert bar’s Instagram account, it revealed the menu which includes a citrus tart, matcha white chocolate, karak ice-cream and an ‘African powerhouse’.

3Fils owner, Akmal Anuar said: “We want to make it unique and raise the bar of eating out culture. A dessert tasting menu also will be available serving desserts that will excite foodies.”

The 10 to 12 seater bar is currently still under construction with Akmal remaining tight-lipped about its location, only mentioning that it will be separate from 3Fils’ Jumeirah Fishing Harbour outlet. He did reveal it will probably open in mid-September.

Brix is described as a ‘contemporary dessert bar’ and while 3Fils is known for its creative and delicious dishes, we imagine Brix will follow the same lines. We can’t wait to try some of the mouth-watering desserts on the menu.
