It’s time to bag some bargains….

A month after Amazon Prime officially launched in the UAE, its first Prime Day sale is here. The worldwide shopping event is running today, Monday July 15 and tomorrow, Monday July 16, offering stellar deals across shopping, saving and entertainment.

In the 48-hour sale, Amazon Prime members will find huge discounts on everything from furniture and TVs to toys, groceries and every day essentials.

Discounts vary depending on each item, but a quick glance at the website shows there’s up to 90 per cent off certain products.

You’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of the two days of deals, which costs Dhs140 for an annual subscription.

Including in your subscription, you’ll enjoy shipping benefits including free next day delivery on all UAE-based products, as well as a 50 per cent discount on same day delivery.

An Amazon Prime subscription also includes unlimited access to Prime Video, where members can stream or download popular and award-winning Amazon Originals like The Grand Tour, and All or Nothing: Manchester City, in addition to several Indian hit shows like Mirzapur and Breathe, and more.

Following the official launch of Amazon.ae on May 1, Amazon launch of Amazon Prime in the UAE at the start of June. The launch of Amazon.ae came almost two years after tech giant Amazon bought UAE-based Souq.com.

At the time of the transition, Amazon promised that it would still be home to ‘everything you love about Souq’, giving online shoppers access to over 30 million products on the site, including access to 5 million products from Amazon US.
