The new bar promises a unique Levantine experience…

Bulldozer Group, the people behind rooftop hangout Seven Sisters and superclub Base, and Seven Management, are bringing popular Beirut hotspot, Antika Bar, to Dubai. The Lebanese hotspot is known for its rich entertainment which includes guest performances and belly dancing.

Antika Bar will be opening its doors in DIFC in August and taking the spot of much-loved Sass Café, which closed in May 2018 and is expected to reopen in a new location soon. Found on level one of Al Fattan Currency House, the new bar is expected to have a completely new look compared to the previous tenants.

Inspired by the hidden theatres of 1950’s Lebanon, Antika Bar will have comfortable plush seating, with quirky antique decorations and a stage in the centre of the restaurant. There will be a big focus on live entertainment, as well as a weekly schedule of exciting events, including two weekly brunches and a ladies’ night.

Promising a unique Levantine experience, Antika Bar will have a strong focus on Arabic food and entertainment. While little has been revealed about Antika Bar Dubai’s entertainment schedule, in Beirut the bar regularly hosts Arabic DJs and musicians including Majd Moussaly & Elissar, Guy Manoukian and Adam.

The menu promises ‘a fusion of modern Arabic cuisine’, including dishes such as infused hummus with lemon, fattoush salad with roasted beetroot and fresh truffle and grilled octopus tajine. The restaurant and lounge will also have an outdoor terrace, due to open in late-September, for guests to enjoy an outdoor dining experience.
