Dubai Police issue warning to beachgoers taking photos

While it might not be beach weather for most of us, tourists and residents who do hit the beach have been issued with a stark reminder from Dubai Police about taking photographs. In a Tweet posted to their official account, Dubai Police warned beach goers that “filming or taking photos of others without their consent is punishable by law”.“Kindly respect the privacy of others,” the Tweet heeded.

Alicia Keys to join Tony Robbins at the Dubai Coca-Cola Arena

Tony Robbins, the world-renowned Number 1 life and business strategist will be coming to Dubai for a one-day-only live event on Tuesday September 3. Previously, the announcement had hinted there would be a surprise guest announced soon and now we can reveal that it’s none other than 15-time Grammy Award-winning artist Alicia Keys who will be giving a talk to ‘help inspire, empower and motivate people to be their authentic selves’, as well as give a special live performance.

Dubai drivers to be excused for committing minor road offences

Dubai Police authorities have announced that Dubai drivers who commit minor road traffic offences whilst on their way to receiving fine discounts for good road conduct will be excused, in a new move. The Traffic Violations Settlement Scheme was announced in February 2019, which gave motorists in Dubai the opportunity to get discounts on previously accrued road fines if they showed good conduct on the roads.

A new prosecco bar is coming to Terminal 3 at Dubai Airport

If you’re a prosecco fan, flying through DXB airport will soon get a little more fun, as Italian prosecco brand Bottega Spa (the makers of those distinctive gold bottles) are set to open up a bar and restaurant in Terminal 3 at Dubai Airport (DXB). Bottega Prosecco Bar & Craft Beer is due to open in November 2019, with works already well underway and can be found opposite Shake Shack near the A gates in T3.

The first official e-scooter rental app has launched in Abu Dhabi

Hot on the (w)heels of the announcement that you can now legally rent e-scooters in Abu Dhabi, European micro-mobility company, Circ, have confirmed the launch of their e-scooter app service in the UAE capital. The easy-to-use app allows users to find, ‘unlock’ and ride any nearby Circ scooters with a quick swipe of their smartphone.
