The Naive hitmakers are rumoured to be headed to Dubai later this year…

2019 is turning into the year of music in the UAE, with everyone from Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Westlife still to perform in the coming months.

And now sources have told us that another band are set to put on a stellar show in the city – and we’re already excited. British rockers The Kooks are touted to make their return to Dubai later this year.

Currently, no information about when – or where – the band will perform has been released, but it’s widely suggested that the three-piece will perform in November.

The Kooks were signed to Virgin Records just four months after getting together as a group in 2005, and went on to release their debut album the same year.

Over more than a decade in music, they’ve released smash hits including Naive, She Moves In Her Own Way and Bad Habit.

No strangers to Dubai, The Kooks last performed in the city in 2012 as part of the Dubai Chill Out festival line-up.

So far this year, Dubai has already welcomed performances from the likes of Jamiroquai, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, Little Mix, Liam Payne and Camilla Cabello. And there’s plenty more still to come.

Next up, The 1975 will take to the stage at Coca-Cola Arena, and only weeks later the same stage will welcome four-piece Irish band Westlife as part of their 20th anniversary tour.

Meanwhile over in the capital, Eminem will take to the stage at du Forum in October, The Killers will headline the Sunday night of the Abu Dhabi F1 after race concerts, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform at the soon-to-open The Arena on Yas Island as part of the Showdown Week celebrations that will lead up to UFC 242.

Stay tuned, as we’ll be sure to update you if – and when – The Kooks gig is confirmed…
