Here are all the music megastars coming to Dubai in the coming months…

We’ve rounded up all the stars with confirmed gigs coming up – mark these dates in your diary!

September

The Supremes

Legendary girl group The Supremes will be performing at the QE2 this September. You’ll be able to catch current members Scherrie Payne and Susaye Greene, who were part of the original recording trio, alongside Joyce Vincent for two performances on September 11 and 12. The Supremes dominated the charts in the 60s and 70s with smash hits such as Stop in the Name of Love, Baby Love and You Keep me Hanging On. When they take to the stage in Dubai, soul fans will be able to dance the night away to their biggest hits live, taking a nostalgia trip back to the days of soul and funk.

Black Coffee

South African DJ Black Coffee will take up deck duty at one of Dubai’s favourite beach clubs, Blue Marlin Ibiza on Friday September 20. Over an impressive career, he’s worked with the likes of Drake and Alicia Keys, as well as performing with American rapper Tyga at the Abu Dhabi F1 back in 2018.

Rita Ora

Pop sensation Rita Ora will headline a new festival headed to W Dubai – The Palm, called WAKE UP CALL. The festival will take place from Thursday October 10 to Saturday October 12, and while we’re still not sure of the schedule (or when each artist will perform), we reckon it’s likely that all artists will perform on Friday night. Two-day passes for the Friday and Saturday start from Dhs295 for entry to the festival, or Dhs445 for Friday brunch at WET Deck from 1pm to 4pm, and entry to the festival. Upgrade to the two-day elevated package for Dhs595 per person, which includes entry to the festival and all its events, plus access to an elevated viewing platform with select unlimited beverages from 7pm to 1am on Friday night. If you want the elevated pass plus brunch, it’s Dhs990.

Eminem

Eminem will play a massive gig in Abu Dhabi at Yas Island’s Du Arena on October 25 as part of his Kamakaze World Tour. The rap superstar was last in the capital when he was a part of the F1 after-race concert line-up in 2012. The artist has produced some of the most iconic rap of his generation including Lose Yourself, Not Afraid, The Real Slim Shady and Without Me. Ticket prices start at Dhs395 and are already available for you to purchase.

Fatboy Slim

Big beat dance legend Fatboy Slim will headline a Halloween-themed gig on Thursday October 31 on the first day of Party in the Park 2019. Worshipped for tunes such as Right Here, Right Now and Praise You, in a previous interview with What’s On in 2018, the legendary DJ told us that he “loves the abandon” of a Dubai crowd.

The Kooks

Brit rockers The Kooks will take to the stage on Friday November 1 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre as part of an epic line-up of Party in the Park acts. Over more than a decade in music, The Kooks have released smash hits including Naive, She Moves In Her Own Way and Bad Habit, and we can’t wait to see them perform all their top hits live in Dubai this November.

Richard Ashcroft

Also joining the Friday line-up for Party in the Park 2019 is English singer-songwriter, Richard Ashcroft joined by his full band for the first time in the UAE, who’ll be taking festival goers through some Bittersweet Symphonies, performing a string of his releases both as a solo artist and as lead singer of Verve.

Steve Aoki

Legendary DJ Steve Aoki is set to make his return to Dubai later this year as the first headliner announced to perform at BAO Festival. The world-famous cake-throwing DJ and producer will take to the stage on Friday October 4 at the Meydan Grandstand for the Dubai festival. Early bird tickets start from Dhs230, and are available now via Platinumlist. Over his impressive career, Steve Aoki has collaborated with A-list names including Iggy Azalea, will.i.am and Afrojack, as well as releasing several Billboard-charting studio albums, including 2013’s Grammy-nominated Wonderland.

Mica Paris

Aretha Franklin fans, get excited. A one night only tribute event is coming to Dubai Opera later this year, as British soul singer Mica Paris takes on some of Franklin’s best-loved songs at the stunning venue. The concert will take place Thursday November 14, so stop Day Dreaming and get your tickets – which are on sale now from Dhs150.

Passenger

Busker-turned-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Passenger is headed for Dubai Opera on Wednesday November 20. Michael Rosenberg AKA Passenger’s international number one hit single, Let Her Go, has topped the charts across the globe and been viewed on You Tube over two billion times. His famed hit was also nominated for a Brit Award for British Single of the Year in 2014 and earned him an Ivor Novello.

Travis Scott

Hip hop superstar Travis Scott will headline at the Yasalam After-Race Concert at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2019. Scott will perform at du Arena, Yas Island, on Friday, 29 November, the second of four after race concerts. Anyone that caught his ASTROWORLD tour in person or on social media will know that it was a spectacular production, so visitors to the F1 can expect nothing less from his performance in Abu Dhabi later this year. Fans can expect some of his world-famous hits such as Sicko Mode, Antidote and Yosemite

The Killers

Synth-rockers The Killers will perform at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after race concerts in 2019. The Mr Brightside hitmakers will close the show on the Yasalam After Race Concerts at du Arena on Sunday December 1. When the four-piece rock band take to the stage at du Arena later this year, fans can expect to hear an array of their singles from the last two decades including Somebody Told Me, Human and their iconic hit, Mr Brightside.

Kylie Minogue

Australian-British pop sensation, Kylie Minogue, has been confirmed as the headline performer on Friday, December 6 at the Sevens Stadium. The Grammy Award-winning artist will have fans Spinning Around from 9.30pm after the second day of the world-famous tournament. Expect to hear some of her biggest hits from the last 30 years, such as Can’t Get You Out Of My HeadOn A Night Like This and Love At First Sight. Tickets for the event on Friday, December 6 will cost Dhs400 or Dhs500 for the whole weekend.

Dido

British singer Dido, known for hits such as Thank You and Here With Me, is set to perform in Dubai later this year. The star is currently on a world tour of her fifth album, Still On My Mind. It seems the artist saved the best for last, as her final show will be at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday December 13. Tickets are now on sale from Dhs295.
