Parents, take note…

Beach weather in the UAE is almost upon us and we’re so excited for its return. In all the haste of planning the perfect beach day, some important factors can be forgotten so Dubai Police have helpfully issued a reminder to residents.

In a Tweet posted to their official account, Dubai Police warned beach goers to “watch your children at all times and do not allow them to swim alone and without life jacket”.

“Your security our happiness,” the Tweet was hashtagged. Dubai Police also warned beachgoers to avoid accidents with boats and yachts, reminding them to “always swim between the flags”.

As part of a constant effort to keep our city safe and secure, Dubai Police use social media platforms such as Twitter to send out short and simple reminders to help residents stay on the right side of the law.

It’s worth following their official account to stay updated with reminders, warnings and announcements.

Other reminders recently issued by Dubai Police advise not to share personal details with scammers. The Tweet said: “Remember that scammers seek your money through “fake prizes”. Never share your debit/credit card number and PIN.”
