The new season has officially kicked off and we couldn’t be happier. There’s a lot of big nights happening this weekend whether you’re a fan of R&B, hip-hop, house or techno, you’re bound to find a fun place to party at.

Here are 11 parties to check out this weekend.

Thursday and Friday: SKY2.0 reopening

Dubai’s newest nightclub, SKY2.0 is reopening after a summer hiatus this weekend, with three nights of excitement in store. Wednesdays present a new urban nights called Dstrkt, which will see new resident DJ Dany Neville spin the decks every week. Thursdays are the signature night, offering a mix of house and R&B tunes, while Boombox Fridays take you back throughout the years.

Thursday: Blond:ish at BASE

This Thursday, October 10, Blond:ish will be DJing at Base Dubai. She’s best known for remixing Maya Jane Coles and Black Coffee. Since originally forming as a duo in 2008, Blond:ish has since become a solo act in the form of Vivie-ann Bakos.

Thursday: Skepta at White

UK grime artist Skepta will be at White Dubai on Thursday, October 10. He’s performing as part of the club’s new UNDRGROUND night which is heavily influenced by the London grime scene. Fans can expect an energetic performance from the Mercury prize-winner who’s best-known for tracks including Shut Down, Too Many Men and Rolex Sweep. The doors of the Dubai super club will open at 10pm with the party carrying on until 4am. Entry is priced from Dhs200 for guys however ladies will get free entry and complimentary drinks until 1am.

Thursday: Adrian Eftimie at The Penthouse

Skyline Thursdays presents a night of deep house at The Penthouse on Thursday October 10. Award-winning Romanian DJ, Adrian Eftimie, will be spinning the decks in Dubai. The Lost and Found hit-maker will be preluded by Dubai DJ Chris Wright, with the night coming to a close with tunes from NSI.

Thursday: Jeremih at Toy Room

MOBO Award-winning singer Jeremih will be performing at Toy Room on Thursday October 10. Jeremih is signed to Def Jam records and has worked with some huge names in the music industry including 50 Cent, Big Sean, Chance the Rapper, DJ Khaled, The Game and Ty Dolla Sign.

Friday: Carl Cox at Soho Beach

After a summer hiatus, Soho Beach DXB are back with a bang on Friday October 11 for their grand reopening party – and headlining will be legendary DJ, Carl Cox. Tickets are still available via Platinumlist.net, priced at Dhs200. The Brit DJ is one of the most famous faces on the house and techno scene and has headlined some of the UK’s biggest festivals and held residencies at Ibiza’s legendary Space Ibiza.

Friday: Adonis at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE

Lebanese four-piece band Adonis, best known for their hit song Stouh Adoniswill be performing at Blue Marlin as part of its wellness experience day: Maktub by Satori. Also on the line up is Dutch sound producer Satori, who will be entertaining the crowd with his nomadic sound until 11pm.

Friday: Skepta and Jeremih at Drai’s

On Friday, October 11, UK grime artist Skepta, responsible for massive hits including Shut Down, Too Many Men and Rolex Sweep and US singer and producer Jeremih, recognised for tunes like Down On Me and Don’t Tell ‘Em are joining forces and performing together at Drai’s. Doors to the Las Vegas-style club will open at 10pm and entry is priced at Dhs200 for guys, while ladiesca enjoy free entry and free drinks until 1am.

Friday: The Magician at Soho Garden

The Magician gave a stellar performance when he played at Zero Gravity in March, and he’ll be returning to play for a new-doubt sold out crowd at Soho Garden on Friday October 11. At his show, expect to hear some of his biggest hits, including Shy, Sunlight and Together.

Friday: Disclosure, Rita Ora and RUFUS DU SOL at W

Rita Ora, Disclosure and RUFUS DU SOL are all set to take to the stage in Dubai this Friday as part of a three-day festival at W Dubai – The Palm called Wake Up Call Festival. As well as an evening of live performance, there’s brunch and VIP packages available.
