La Carnita

What: Buy-one-get-one-free on vegan meals

New health concept Krave has just opened up a new branch in Motor City and on Friday November 1 they’re offering buy-one-get-one-free on all of their vegan meals when you dine in the restaurant, so why not try it with a friend? Highlights include the chickpea and artichoke salad made with grilled artichoke, hassocks avocado, chickpea, cucumber, parsley and dill leaves topped with chilli flakes.

Vegan Menus

folly by Nick & Scott

In celebration of World Vegan month, folly by Nick & Scott have introduced a brand new vegan menu. Feast on nutritious dishes like pumpkin, orange and watercress or kohlrabi infused with black garlic, five spice and shitake. Once you’re full, make sure to check out their brand new wine bar terrace, serving all vegan-friendly wines.

Tania’s Teahouse

Kitsch healthy-eating cafe Tania’s Teahouse celebrates vegans in a big way with loads of nutrient-packed offerings. Try their ultra-Instrammable mermaid toast with rainbow swirls of vegan cheese (Dhs40), tuck into a comforting bowl of soaked overnight oats (Dhs40) or try their guac ‘n’ roll toast (Dhs35), which you can opt for on sweet potato toast.

Bounty Beets

Bounty Beets is popular with a number of Dubai’s health-conscious crowd for its healthy dishes and alternative ladies nights. They’ve curated a special vegan menu, which will be available throughout November. Dine on dishes such as the vegan pancake or some delicious dessert options for those with a sweet tooth.

Marks & Spencer

Marks & Spencer introduced their plant-based line, Plant Kitchen, across stores earlier this year. They’ve rolled it out across foodhalls in Dubai, including Dubai Festival City Mall, Marina Walk, Ibn Battuta, The Springs Souk and Mall of the Emirates. The range features some awesome meat-free alternatives like lentil & beetroot sweetcorn burgers, chickpea burgers, roasted mushroom & red onion sausages and sweet potato & red pepper sausages.

Rove Healthcare City

Rove Healthcare City’s Asian Vrunch is a vegan brunch taking place on Saturday November 2. You’ll get unlimited trips to the salad buffet followed by some mains like pomelo salad with roasted coconut, tofu larb with toasted rice powder, vegetable spring rolls, and vegetable massaman curry with jasmine rice.

In the mood for a refreshing dessert? Give Japanese ice cream company, M’oishi a go. Their bitesize ice creams are encased in a soft rice dough wrapping that has to be tried to be understood. They’ve got three special zesty flavours suitable for vegans in passion fruit, mixed berry and Japanese Yuzu. You’ll find branches all around Dubai, from Dubai Festival City to Marina Mall.

Mexican food doesn’t have to be all meat options. La Tablita have recently launched their healthy vegan menu, boasting all authentic Mexican dishes like guacamole and chips, tacos and a warming tomato soup with spices.

To celebrate the plant-focussed month of November, Asian street food eatery Asian5 have devised a special menu of starters, mains and desserts for Dhs75. For starters choose from things like beetroot or veggie shumai, for mains you could try veggie glass noodles or a sweet potato curry and desserts include a fried banana wonton with homemade coconut ice cream .
