What’s On has details of the record-breaking Wire World Adventure Park which is to open at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai, with 70 obstacles and zip wires.

A new outdoor adventure park will give thrill-seekers the opportunity to whizz down zip wires, with stunning views of the Meydan racecourse.

Wire World Meydan Adventure Park is the first attraction of its kind in the UAE and will be an exciting new day out destination when it opens later this year.

The park will be 25,000 square metres, approximately the size of four football pitches. With more than 70 obstacles to tackle, Wire World will challenge visitors to navigate rope swings and zip lines amid a backdrop of trees and rocks.

Once the zip line aspect of Wire World has been established, plans are in place to build a bicycle park, plus a bungee trampoline.

Designed for people of all ages, the park offers a physical and mental challenge. Zip lines are renowned for being effective tools in building confidence, conquering a fear of heights as well as being a popular activity for team building exercises.

Wire World is the creation of WL Hospitality. It’s CEO and Partner, Danny Haddad, said: “The park is unique to the region and offers something that has never been experienced before.”

As well as an adrenaline junkie’s paradise, Wire World will also have an eye on being green.

“Sustainability is at the heart of the park’s design,” Haddad added. “It’s being created using natural materials, including wood and stone, with special attention paid to the natural environment.”

Yanal Abaza, head of business development, sports and leisure for Meydan Group, says health is a key aim of Wire World.

“Our goal at this park, and at future parks, is without doubt the promotion of natural outdoor sports in a secure and sustainable environment,” he said.
