It cares for hundreds of children with special needs, and now the Al Noor Centre is throwing a charity bash in a bid to raise Dhs1million to help continue its work.

The gala dinner will be held at Dubai’s Conrad Hotel on June 5 at 8pm, kicking off with a cocktail reception as guests mingle.  An elaborate dinner will follow, before live performances from musicians and artists.

A silent auction of “elite and unique” items is expected to be a highlight of the big night, which is open to individuals and companies keen to show their support the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs.

“Last year’s gala dinner was a huge success and we were able to raise approximately Dhs600,000 for the centre,” said Isphana Al Khatib, the centre’s director. “The money raised helps the centre in providing adequate facilities, and materials needed to support out training programmes. This year we are again inviting the community to support our gala dinner so we can continue our mission of assisting our students to reach their individual level of skill and independence,” Al Khatib added.

Real estate firm Pacific Ventures is sponsoring and hosting the event. “Al Noor has become a part of our family at Pacific Ventures,” said chairman Parvez Khan.

“It is our privilege and joy to help make a difference in the lives of young people. What initially began as a sincere CSR [Corporate Social Responsibility] effort has now become a committed advocacy for us to see that Al Noor is able to give the best care to the children in their centre.”

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event. Tickets cost Dhs850 per seat or Dhs8,000 for a table of ten. For further details contact Darryl on (04) 3404844 or (04) 3234993. alnoorspneeds.ae
