The attraction will feature 10,000 celebrities, that’s four times more than the Hollywood version…

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the most star-studded attractions in Hollywood, and there’s soon set to be a Dubai version too.

Dubai developer Emaar have announced that Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, will soon be home to its own walk of fame-style attraction. ‘Dubai Stars’ will launch in October with 400 of the proposed 10,000 stars being unveiled.

So, who’ll be on the star-studded walk? Well, the first 400 celebrities will be decided by you, as Emaar plans to launch a global social campaign asking people from all over the world to nominate their favourite celebrities and influencers.

The top 400 will be selected and invited to the grand opening to launch their star.

This attraction will feature four times as many stars as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and aims to attract tourists from around the world to search for their favourite personality among the stars.

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties said, “Emaar takes pride in ensuring the best lifestyle experience for both residents and visitors to Dubai. With Dubai Stars we are further highlighting our commitment to making Dubai the best city in the world, and to promote arts, culture and sports by saluting the stars, whose contributions continue to inspire the world.”

Dubai Stars’ aim is to showcase the public figures who have positively influenced the industries of music, film, art, architecture, sports, and literature. The walk of fame will also highlight social influencers.

Downtown Dubai already has many popular tourist attractions including Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, The Dubai Fountain and Dubai Opera, so we’re sure Dubai Stars will be another great addition to the list.
