What’s On is delighted to announce that ‘White Dubai’ will launch in December at Meydan Racecourse.

The new rooftop nightclub is a sister project to the original in Beirut, Lebanon,  and promises “world class entertainment, live shows, one of the biggest screens in the region with elaborated visuals and lighting effects”, as well as leading DJs.

The team behind it, who have enjoyed a successful two-month stint operating a pop-up club, The White Room, at Al Marooj Rotana hotel, expect the venue to hold 1,000 people, all dancing to the latest in R&B and dance music.

The temporary space in Downtown Dubai has been enormously successful since it’s launch in August, attracting a sell-out crowd on the opening night. Speaking at the time, Karim Jaber, the men behind both projects, told Gulf News: “It was extraordinary. People were queuing from 10pm waiting for the doors to open, and many more were still queuing at 2am.

“We hit full capacity of 1,500 people by 12am. Opening nights at any club are always hectic and given White Beirut’s popularity, we were expecting a huge turn-out but our expectations were exceeded. We are very grateful for the astounding support we have. Our opening night was dedicated purely to thanking each and every one of our guests; we surprised everyone by announcing that all drinks and bar services were on the house.”

White Beirut has a formidable reputation in Lebanon and has grown into the capital city’s biggest and best event in around five years. Among the list of superstars to have graced the decks are Fedde Le Grand, Steve Angello, Steve Edwards, Timo Maas, Richard Durand and Shawnee Taylor.
