Belgian mash-up kings 2ManyDJs have been announced as a last minute addition to the Creamfields Abu Dhabi line-up on Friday.

Entering the music scene as Soulwax in 1996, David and Stephen Dewaele smashed their way into dance mythology in 2002 with As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt 2, one of the greatest mix albums of all time. Their mash-up DJ sets have been legendary ever since.

The pair join an already stellar line-up on the bill ay Du Arena on December 13, with Calvin Harris, Disclosure and The Prodigy setting the pulses racing.

As well as the odd solo offering, Harris has teamed up with big names from many different genres including Ne-Yo, Example and Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine. His most recent album, 18 Months, was jam-packed with readymade No 1s and was bolstered by another dizzying array of stars including Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah and Dizzee Rascal.

English brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, who make up Disclosure, meanwhile, have enjoyed a meteoric rise this year, going from gigs in small UK venues to Australia’s Field Day to this. Their single Latch became the most played track on Australia’s top radio station and went gold there, while the follow-up White Noise reached No 2 in the UK Top 40 and became the most played track on BBC Radio 1 for an entire month. Not bad for a band that were carrying their own equipment on stage a year ago.

Following their Creamfields appearance at the du Arena, Yas Island, 2ManyDJs will team up with DFA Records founder James Murphy later in the month to launch their Despacio project in London.

Designed by Murphy, Despacio is described as a “one-of-a-kind custom-built soundsystem” and consists of a whopping seven 50,000-watt, eleven-foot tall speakers for audio that’s on another level. The two-gig event will take place at the Ballroom of Hammersmith Town Hall on December 19 and 20, where it will be strictly vinyl only.
