The party didn’t stop in Dubai in 2013, and 2014 promises to be no different after confirmation on his own website that superstar DJ Paul Van Dyk will be performing at Zero Gravity, SkyDive Dubai on February 27.

To celebrate, our friends at Hype have put the thumbscrews on a few promoters to reveal what else is coming up in the early months of 2014.

PAUL VAN DYK
One of the original superstar trance DJs, Paul van Dyk’s For An Angel was caned in Ibiza’s superclubs in the mid ’90s. The German’s residency at UK club Gatecrasher remains the stuff of legend and PvD was the first artist to receive a Grammy nomination in the newly added category of Best Dance/Electronic album for his 2003 release Reflections. Having grown up in East Berlin where he had little freedom, Paul has developed a keen interest in politics and believes that electronic music is a force that can unite. A key player in the now defunct Berlin Love Parade, Paul now presents the We Are One festival in his hometown each year.

TIMO MAAS at Plus Minus
Friday, February 7
German electronic DJ and producer Timo Maas first made his mark on the clubscene back in 1999 with his remix of Dooms Night by Azzido da Bass and he’s remained a constant on the underground club scene ever since. Having remixed the likes of Fatboy Slim, Kelis and Madonna, his latest track Tantra has been receiving plenty of love from fellow DJs. A 10-year residency at infamous Ibiza club DC10 has seen Timo gather a whole new generation of fans.

JIMPSTER at Audio Tonic
Friday, February 21
One for the house heads, Freerange Records boss Jamie Odell is a veteran of the UK scene. His seminal Jimpster LP Messages From The Hub (1997), as well as his more dancefloor orientated Audiomontage 12”s, really helped establish Jamie as an artist of merit. With emphasis on the deeper end of electronic house music, but not afraid to stray from the path, Jimpster retains an old school approach to DJing that has seen him booked for gigs as diverse as Fabric and Matter (London), Panorama Bar and Watergate (Berlin), Cielo (NYC), Warehouse 702 (Tokyo), Zoo Project (Ibiza) and D-Edge (Sau Paulo).

SANDY RIVERA at VIP Room
Friday, February 14
Born in New York City, Sandy Rivera is an American record producer and house DJ best known for his club smash Finally, released under his Kings of Tomorrow moniker in 2000. His mix albums have popped up on both Ministry of Sound Records and Defected over the years, and he recently headlined a label showcase for Defected Records in Amsterdam.

DIXON at Blue Marlin UAE
Friday, January 31
Part owner of the super cool Innervisions record label, Berliner Dixon was recently crowned No.1 DJ in Resident Advisor’s Top 100 DJs list of 2013. It rounded off another cracking year for the producer and his label following a summer where DJs worldwide jumped on Ten Walls’ ethereal track Gotham, released on Dixon’s imprint.
