As the month of Ramadan draws near, many of the restaurants and cafes around town shut up shop during daylight hours, in respect of Muslims who are fasting, before reopening at sunset.

There are a few outlets that offer dine-in options in curtained-off sections of the restaurant while many others cater only for takeaway. Either way, remain mindful that you should not eat or drink in public during this time. For those who are not fasting, here is an extensive directory of food outlets by neighbourhood that are open for breakfast and lunch during daylight hours:
