It’s been more than a year since news first broke that Ibiza super club Pacha would be opening in Dubai, and now, finally, we have an opening date.

Featuring a Main Room, Red Room and terrace – much like the iconic nightspot in the Balearics – it will be spread across three floors and 27,000 sq ft, featuring all the entertainment traditionally associated with Pacha family.

And you’ll be able to enjoy it from November 7.

According to information provided on the club’s official website on Tuesday night, the Main Room will be a ‘restaurant with a spectacular live show, evolving into a nightlife experience with house music from the world’s best DJs’. The food on offer will be Pan-Asian inspired, while the show will follow the lead of venues like The Act and showcase acrobats, dancers and singers from around the world.

Fans of alternative music can expect to get their groove on on the mezzanine level, known as the Red Room.

But it is outside that we expect the venue to really steal the show. In Ibiza, the terrace at the Ibiza Town club is regarded as one of the most beautiful spots among the island’s thriving music scene. And developers in Dubai claim to have pulled out all the stops to match the original. The official line is that the rooftop, with views over Dubai’s skyline, is a ‘lounge concept playing soulful, lounge and deep house sounds with modern Moorish food from a raw bar and robata grill’.

Speaking to What’s On in November 2013, Marta Planells, who at that time had moved to Dubai to oversee the launch, said the venue, which replaces Trilogy at Madinat, would be ‘very connected’ with its sister on the White Isle in terms of the DJ line-up.

“We have to keep some things secret, but the music will be very connected with Ibiza,” she said last year. “We want to give people in Dubai the full Pacha experience.”

Given that the original Pacha has played host to everyone from Roger Sanchez and David Guetta to Erick Morillo, we think it’s safe to say Dubai’s dance music fans have reason to be excited.

The original club launched in the Balearics in 1967 and has since been franchised to more than 20 different locations, including London, Brazil, Russia and Egypt.
