To demonstrate the pool of artistic and creative talent in Dubai, the Dubai Food Festival welcomes a special platform for street culture, art, music, and street food – Street Nights – taking place from February 20 to 21 in Al Quoz.

Foodies can sample a selection of creative street food concepts from the likes of Moti Roti, Fume, Fraiche, Maple Leaf, Hanoi, Shakeism, Logma, Essentially, Melt and Panifico.

“Street Nights is a one-of-a-kind event offering a unique street-feel experience for Dubai residents and tourists, allowing them to discover and enjoy street food, art and music performances in the burgeoning artistic district of Al Quoz. We hope to entertain cultural and foodie enthusiasts of all ages with this exciting event,” said Alexandre Teodoresco, co-founder of Street Nights

It’s not just about the food though. Some of the talented artists set to be involved include local and international artists, street musicians and DJs.

Award-winning Deep Crates Cartel are curating the weekend’s music featuring local and regional talents such as Hamdan Al Abri, Malika, aka the Queen of Arabic Hip hop,  Parallel Sound System among others. International celebrity artists and DJs are also scheduled for surprise appearances.

Elsewhere, renowned street artists including L7M, Bandi and Zombi will be display their works of art as well as homegrown talent from the likes of graffiti artist Steffi Bow. Visitors can even take some street art home by voting for their favourite art pieces during on-site competitions.

Street Nights takes place on street 4b in Al Quoz industrial area from 5pm to midnight. The event is open to the public and the entrance is free. For more information, check out facebook/streetnightsDXB

If you can’t wait until February for a dose of Street food, you can prepare your taste buds at the first official Street Food Market at Kite Beach. Running over two evenings from February 6 to 7, the Street Food Market, organised by Eventra Events, hosts a variety of new outlets set up by local food entrepreneurs including companies such as Amigo, Monkey Cookies, Alam Al Wajbat, Gourmet Bites and 54 Dinner. streetfood.ae
