The rock band fronted by Hollywood A-Lister Jared Leto have announced their debut show in Dubai.

30 Seconds To Mars will perform at Dubai World Trade Centre on April 10, four years after they last played in the region when they sold out du Forum in Abu Dhabi.

The three-piece, who also feature Jared’s brother Shannon alongside lead guitarist Tomo Milicevic, have sold over five million albums worldwide. They are best loved for smash hits ‘From Yesterday’, ‘Kings and Queens’, and ‘This Is War’. They have just released their fourth studio album “Lust, Love, Faith and Dreams’.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday February 11 at midday from ticketmaster.ae priced from Dhs295.

The concert, which is being put on by Live Nation ME, comes sandwiched between the three-day Middle East Film and Comic Con 2015 (MEFCC) at the same venue. Earlier in the day, the first ‘special guest’ attendees for MEFCC were revealed to be iconic Star Trek actor William Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk, and Karl Urban, who can count Star Trek the movie, Lord of the Rings, and Judge Dredd among his acting credits. Sam J. Jones, or Flash Gordon to fans, will also feature.

“Our promise is always Bigger, Better & Crazier than Ever,” said Ben Caddy, the managing director of MEFCC. “With the overwhelming support of both our industry partners and the fan community, whether they are artists, exhibitors, sponsors or fans, people feel that they have a stake in this event and the platform it provides. And it’s that enthusiasm which is driving the growth of the event.”

However, there is disappointment among music fans who will have to choose between Oscar winner Jared and his band, and Paolo Nutini, who will perform on the very same night at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

The award-winning singer-songwriter, hailed as ‘[Britain’s] best male soul singer this century’, is famed for his impassioned stage performances and stunning gruff tones. The Scottish star’s most recent album, ‘Caustic Love’, shot straight to the top of the charts in the UK and was widely considered to be one of the best of 2014, described as anything from ‘masterpiece’ (The Independent), ‘a classic’ (The Evening Standard), and ‘excellent’ (Q Magazine).

Tickets for his show are selling fast, priced from Dhs295 at platinumlist.net and virginmegastore.me
