If you’re impressed by the daily automobile eye candy in Dubai, then the annual Emirates Classic Car Festival will be right up your street.

Held on the 3km-long Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, this annual event is back for the seventh time taking place from March 19 to 22.

But don’t expect a small handful of old school Ferraris or Porsches. The collection on display is set to span an entire century of motoring history.

Last year, over 200 cars and motorcycles were on show. Exhibits included some of the best-loved classics of all time ranging from 1928 to 1984, from Corvette Sting Rays to Bentleys and Rolls Royce. Some were flown in from the GCC, as well as the wider Middle East, Europe, and the US.

A highlight of the festival was a Pre-World War II Mercedes, with a super-charged engine, from 1923; and the first car ever made under the Mercedes Patent Wagon, 1982.

“The Emirates Classic Car Festival is a great opportunity for UAE enthusiasts and international participants to share their passion for beautiful and historic vehicles,” said Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the United Arab Emirates.

“Many of the cars and motorcycles were unique as we believe that it was important to give the public the opportunity to see them first hand. Each year that I attend, the festival presents a greater temptation to add a few more to my garage.”
