Look at some art

Check out the opening of the third edition of the No White Walls exhibition at the Chocolate Gallery at the Fairmont. The show, features six artists working in a variety of mediums including paintings, sculpture, photography, digital and textile art including Emily Gordon and Jen Simon.

Eat good Italian food

A variety of new dishes, celebrating the flavours of the summer, are available at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi’s Italian restaurant Circo. The new menu by Chef Luca Banfi includes an Italian version of strawberries and cream, with creamy burrata and wild berries. Other dishes include the eggplant Parmesan inspired risotto alle melanzane, which features plum tomatoes and roasted eggplant, as well as the costoletta di vitello, a bone-in veal cutlet served with purple potato and leeks.

 Eat off a new menu

Jones the Grocer has launched a new, all-day-dining menu that features wheat free, paleo and vegetarian dishes. New items include coconut flour pancakes with blueberry compote, smoked scarmoza cheese and roast peppers ciabatta, zaatar grilled zucchini and eggplant wholemeal wrap, sea bass on soba noodles and a zucchini lasagna with five cheeses.

 Go to the beach

Take the kids out to Yas Beach for day of sun and sand. Every Friday, from 3pm to 5pm, the beach hosts a sand castle building competition. For little guests, parents should visit Kidoos World, a tented area filled with interactive games and educational shows suited to toddlers.
