Pamper for a cause

'Angkor' Treatment Room

We don’t need to be asked twice to indulge in a little pampering, and if it is for a worthy cause then even better. SensAsia Urban Spa has launched In The Pink treatment – a Balinese massage, nail polish and body wrap trio to leave skin feeling silky soft and achy limbs revived. SensAsia is donating the complete cost of the package (Dhs565) to Friends Of Cancer, meaning you’ll get that warm and fuzzy charitable feeling along with your post-spa session glow.

SensAsia Urban Spa, Souk Al Manzil, Downtown Dubai, daily 10am to 10pm, Dhs565. Tel: (04) 4560866. Taxi: Opposite Baker and Spice.

Download Safe & Sound

To celebrate its 19th year, BurJuman’s Safe & Sound campaign has taken a different direction with the release of its app. Replacing the traditional walkathon, the app gives users the chance to log your steps (even in the supermarket for non-sporty types) to help Safe & Sound reach a 50,000km goal. Once that goal is hit, BurJuman will donate Dhs100,000 to the cause, which will be used to help support patients through the Al Jalila Foundation and Breast Friends. You can also donate directly through the app, which will stay active
all year.
