What’s On has details about three NYE concerts happening in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, featuring Arabic singers Balqees, Aryam and Najwa Karam.

Abu Dhabi will kick off New Year celebrations with three separate concerts featuring a mix of both regional and local Arabic stars including Balqees, Mansour Zayed and Najwa Karam.

The concerts, which will take place on Yas Island and Al Ain, will be hosted from December 29 to 31.

Tuesday December 29 will see Emirati singers Hussain Al Jassmi and Balqees perform at the du Forum in Yas Island. Al Jassmi, who received the Murex d’Or Award for Best Arabic Male Singer in 2008, is best known for his single ‘Boshret Kheir’. The song, which showcased Egyptians encouraging each other to vote, quickly went viral and has since been viewed over 100 million times.

The Garden City takes centre stage on Wednesday, December 30 with Mansour Zayed and Emirati singer Aryam (who performed at the 2015 Formula One After Race Concerts last week) headlining at the Al Ain Municipality Theatre.

For the main event, Lebanese songbird and Arabs Got Talent judge Najwa Karam and Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred will perform at the du Forum on New Year’s Eve.

Tickets for the concerts, which are hosted by the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and Alchemy Project, are expected to go on sale shortly.

“TCA Abu Dhabi has been joined by leading UAE event organisers to deliver a superb package of entertainment from some of the most famous Arab singing stars around, both Emirati and from across the region,” added Sultan Al Dhaheri, Acting Executive Director of Tourism, TCA Abu Dhabi.
