Dubai’s live music scene embraced a heavy dose of hipsterfication this summer with the launch of The Other Side at new music venue And Lounge in Dubai Marina. Inspired by the live music scenes of Brooklyn, Austin, London and New Orleans, The Other Side welcomes regional and international artists from varied musical genres to perform on rotation every event.

We’ve teamed up with founders Dania Ismail and Audrey Soler to give one lucky reader four tickets plus a bottle on the house to this weekend’s gig which features Lebanese indie folk band Postcards. The band – composed of Julia Sabra on ukulele, mandolin, guitar and vocals, Marwan Tohme on guitar and vocals, Pascal Semerdjian on drums, harmonica, and vocals, and Rany Bechara on bass, keyboard and vocals – manages to create a lush and dreamy sound-world posed somewhere between Fleet Foxes and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes.

Postcards will also be supported by local band Kudos By Proxy (of Freshly Ground Sounds fame) and Mckie Alvarez (DJ Set).
