1. See the fireworks

After having broken the world record for the largest and longest fireworks display in the world for the NYE 2014 celebrations, plans are well under way to make this year’s new year’s eve even more spectacular than ever before.

2. Get low with Flo Rida

3. Dress up for a masquerade

4. See David Guetta live

If you’ve turned on the radio, watched a YouTube playlist or been to a club in the last five years you’ve heard a David Guetta song.The mega DJ and producer earned a reported Dhs110 million last year, has sold over 30 million singles worldwide and the videos for his mega hits are regularly viewed by hundreds of millions of people when they’re posted on YouTube (Titanium featuring Sia has 480 million views on YouTube, to put that into context, the USA is home to 320 million people). He will play at Dubai Media City Ampitheatre to ring in 2016, whipping out his collaborations with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Sia and more during the gig organised by Peppermint Experience.

5. Or pick the Martin Garrix gig instead

Fresh-faced Martin Garrix returns to Meydan on New Year’s Eve after headlining the first Sensation event in the UAE there last year. His Animals track, released in 2013, catapulted him into the EDM stratosphere and as well as playing major festivals around the world, the 19-year-old has since collaborated with Usher, Tiësto, Avicii and Ed Sheeran.

6. Enjoy a big breakfast at Fume

7. Get your Zen on
