If we lived in any other country, today’s weather would have been met with a drawn out, yawny morning sigh upon pulling back the curtains.

However, this is the UAE, and rain is something to talk about. Something to celebrate even. Today marks the return back to work for a lot of us, and what better way to usher in the new year and welcome us back than with a light morning drizzle.

Unfortunately for us rain lovers though, the rain is set to be short lived. Weather forecasts are predicting a comfy and sunny 22 degrees tomorrow, with sunny weather continuing throughout the week.

Here’s how the city’s looking this morning…

1. Stormy weather down Jumeirah. Bad for beach-goers, great for surfers.

2. The city slowly disappearing into the sky.
