Check out what’s on offer at the capital’s newest family-friendly festival on the Corniche from March 24 to April 2.

There’s a brand new festival launching in Abu Dhabi that is set to celebrate the Mother of the Nation, HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.

From March 24 to April 2 you can head down to a 1.3 kilometre stretch of the Corniche to check out this family-friendly event that will feature a series of exhibits, performances and outdoor activity zones.

The Pavilion

This space will be dedicated to the achievements of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. Expect to see rare historical archives, objects, photographs, film and personal testimonies on display – many of which are being exhibited for the first time.

The Conservation Zone
Learn more about a sustainable lifestyle with a range of activities such as Eco Eco Safari, Under the Dome, Environmental Cabanas, and a Fisheries Climbing Sculpture.

The Active Zone

Focused on healthy bodies and minds, this zone will see you test out extreme sports (think a 35m long zip-line, climbing wall or a 12m free fall jump from the Challenge Tower), play games or chill out at a special beach lounge with a round of mini-golf. Be sure to check out the activity cabanas to try archery and footie.

The Art Zone
Walk through a garden path filled with creative activities themed around “the art of motherhood.”

The Souq Zone

For a spot of traditional shopping check out this area, that will feature local traditional shops as well as workshops and a play area for the kids.

The Beach Dining Zone
Located on the West Plaza of the Corniche, grab a bite to eat here. There’ll also be a gardening workshop as well as latte art and mocktail demos.
