 Send the kids to camp

The Hilton’s summer camp is one of the oldest in the city – this is the twelfth year it has taken place – and they’ll be hosting cooking classes, water-skiing lessons, yoga sessions and lots more. Camp runs until September 1 and the price includes snacks, lunch and drinks. Activities are suitable for kidlets aged four to 12.

 Take the stairs at Zayed Sports City

Huff and puff up the steps of the Zayed Sports City Stadium at TrainZSC. The vertical training sessions will see you run/climb stairs to build muscle and increase your cardiovascular strength. Hosted on the last Thursday of every month, the stadium’s track will also be open to the public for those looking to run. Participants must register beforehand, either online or at the venue on the day.

Shop at a Ramadan Caravan

La Loupe

Fashion collective La Loupe is hosting a one-day pop up shop at The Souk at the Qaryat Al Beri. Featuring over 50 homegrown vendors and brands from the UAE, the event will also have food stalls, beauty products, artwork and music.

 Bounce around

The trampoline park has finally made its way to the capital. While the massive Marina Mall space is still under construction, there is a small exhibition area to give you a taster of what’s to come. Keep in mind that the space is tiny – only 35 people can be accommodated every hour – so get there early.

The Galleria Ramadan

The Galleria is hosting a series of activities to celebrate Ramadan this year, including an exhibition by local calligrapher and graffiti artist Dia’a Allam. There’s a falconry display, a selection of arts and crafts activities for kids, henna artists and a band performing daily.

Watch the Euros

It might not be the World Cup Finals, but the European Championships are still a great chance to see some of the world’s best footballers, and every game of the tournament will be shown on a 10mx6m LED screen (that would put ones found in many movie theatres to shame) inside the du Forum.
