The Abu Dhabi bakery giving away cake to those in need...
This is sweet news indeed…
We love it when local and small businesses work to make our communities a better place.
And a cake shop in Abu Dhabi is doing just that: Celebrating Life Bakery, a family-owned patisserie in the UAE’s capital, is giving away cake to the taxi drivers, labourers and cleaners across the capital who keep the city running as well as it does.
Every month they give away 30 cakes to “labourers/constructions workers, community cleaners, security guards or taxi drivers”. You can nominate someone, just email them at firstname.lastname@example.org with your nominee.
Also, they have a special one4oneAD menu, and every time someone buys a cake from this special menu (which starts from Dhs60) they will bake another cake for someone else on their birthday.
When you buy a cake from the bakery from this menu, you’ll get a card that comes with the sweet treat to explain how another cake will be donated due to your purchase.
The extra cake is given to someone who may not be able to afford a special treat on their birthday. See below to find out how you can get involved.
Available flavours of cakes on the special menu include tiramisu, black forest gateau, triple chocolate cake and pistachio. Prices start from Dhs60 for a half kilo cake.
So far the campaign has given away more than 50 cakes to people in need. That’s some pretty sweet news if we say so ourselves.
