If you can’t do anything on the Tuesday night, then the regal Al Bayt lounge is putting on an afternoon tea every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 2pm to 6pm. 4. AN EXTRA LUXE’ AFTERNOON: TEA & SPA

5. AN ARABIAN NIGHTS EVENING: EWAAN

We had one of the most lovely brunches of our Dubai life at the Arabic spot Ewaan in The Palace – the buffet is quality, and the live cooking stations serve up some great eastern flavours. On Valentine’s Day you can pop there for dinner, where all tables will be set up on the terrace with rose petals, and all ladies will get a single rose and a chocolate box souvenir. The dinner will cost Dhs275 with soft drinks and Dhs425 with house beverages.

6. AN ARGENTINIAN A-LA-CARTE: DINNER AT ASADO

7. THE ULTIMATE SPA DAY: THE ROYAL TREATMENT

From now until March 31 there’s a special Royal Treatment at the hotel’s spa: for Dhs1,050 per person or Dhs2,100 per couple you can get a 60-minute facial and a 60-minute full body massage, and you can then relax by the pool, chill in the hammam, steam room or Jacuzzi and finish things off with a chocolate-coated strawberry plate. This is a make-a-day-of-it treatment.
