Scottish comedy genius returns to yuk it up at the World Trade Centre

You’ll want to book your tickets early for this one – Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges is coming to Dubai, following a sell-out show in 2014. Bridges will perform for one night only on October 19 as part of DXBLaughs.

In fact, the Glaswegian comic, described by fellow funny Scot Billy Connelly as “brilliant”, has been selling out arenas all over the world, in Europe, Australia and the States. His ‘A Whole Different Story Tour’ alone has sold over 600,000 tickets. And he’s only 30.

It’s not bad for a self-confessed class clown who was expelled from school at 16. After years working the stand-up and open mic nights circuit, Bridges finally got his big break in comedy in 2009, when he got a late call to perform on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. Over five million people watched his five-minute set and the rest is history.

Since then, he’s gone on to appear on panel shows like Mock The Week and Would I Lie To You, a live DVD and his own BBC1 show called Kevin Bridges: What’s The Story, that saw him travel the world, investigating  the subjects he’s riffed on in his stand-up material. He even published his autobiography We Need to Talk About… Kevin Bridges, at the tender age of 28.

Tickets are available now via the DXBLaughs website.

Earlier this year, DXBLaughs, part of Done Events, brought Eddie Izzard over for a sold out show in Dubai World Trade Centre. Later this year, stand-up John Bishop will perform on December 14.
