Abu Dhabi Summer Season starts this week – here's your guide to the shows
The capital’s month-long entertainment festival is back for its fourth year, with a lineup packed with family-friendly shows including a performance from a Hollywood comedian, cartoon characters including Tom & Jerry, Bollywood legends and an illusionist. It all starts July 20.
Comedy Superstar – Mike Epps
Making his debut in the Middle East, actor and comedian Mike Epps will be performing stand-up at Al Raha Beach Theatre on August 18. Epps is best known for his roles in movies The Hangover (he played Black Doug), Jumping The Broom, Resident Evil: Extinction and Next Friday.

Talents Around The World
Featuring an all-star lineup, this stage production brings together a group of performers who have competed on their country’s Got Talent series. Artists include India’s Got Talent stars XIX Crew, a hip hop dance group as well as Irish tap dancers Narnia, acrobatic perfomers Habasha Circus Group and Khulan Circus Group and Ukrainian Shadow show performers Verba.

Namaste Abu Dhabi
Celebrate India’s 70th Independence Day by watching a world-class concert starring Bollywood legends, Salim and Sulaiman – two of India’s most famous music composers. They have composed and produced music for more than 100 Bollywood movies and also have international pedigree – they worked with South African singer Loyiso Bala and Kenyan singer/songwriter Eric Wainaina on the 2010 Fifa World Cup song Africa – You’re A Star.

Masha & The Bear On Ice
Inspired by Russian fairy tale Masha & The Bear, this show on ice features more than 30 figure-skaters, dancers and acrobats who come together to showcase their skills in colourful costumes through music and drama.

FIFA Club World Club

Tom & Jerry Live Show – The Crystal Quest
A 75-minute live stage show that sees the famous cartoon cat and mouse team, Tom and Jerry go on an adventure with friends, including the beautiful princess Toodles and warrior Butch. The pair are transported to the long-lost Pawprint Island on a quest to find the four Lost Crystals of the Amulet.

Tom & Jerry – The Cheese Maze
One for all the family, this interactive play zone gives kids the chance to immerse themselves into the cartoon world of Tom & Jerry from 5pm to 10pm daily. They’ll have to carry a giant block of cheese through a maze set with traps – where Tom is waiting – and Jerry is on hand to help.

Iftah Ya Simsim Show

Ahmed El Bayed: Master Illusionist
Illusionist Ahmed El Bayed has a knack for making the impossible seem possible. Search for him on YouTube and you’ll see clips of him making birds in a painting come alive, and another of him teleporting. He was a star on Future TV in the Middle East from 2006 onwards, before performing on Arabs Got Talent in 2011 (he came third).
