Winners get the chance to open for Pink at this year’s F1 concerts and an industry mentorship

Are you an aspiring singer/songwriter? How about a transmedia multi-instrumentalist nu-polka band? Then you’re in luck, because the Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition (ETC) is back, and it could be the perfect platform to rocket your musical career to the next level.

Now in its third year, the musical talent competition run by the organisers of the annual Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand prix after-race concerts gives some of the UAE’s best and brightest bands and singers the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of fans at Yas Mall.

A panel of local musicians and entertainment professionals will select a shortlist of ten finalists who will be entered into a mentorship program including workshops and masterclasses focused on improving their musical talents and helping build their identity.

This year’s competition offers a fantastic prize to the lucky artist that comes out on top including a year-long residency at the The Village at du Arena, mentorship from leading music industry professionals, and (this is the big one) the chance to perform on the same stage as Pink at the final after-race concert at Yasalam 2017.

Think you have what it takes? Hopefuls can register via the official Yasalam website before 30 September and will need to submit links to their recorded and video material along with answering a number of questions.
