15kg means a LOT more dates, Tang and camel soft toys…

Often get stung with extra baggage charges? Well, Emirates has just launched a special offer that means passengers going to 39 destinations can check in up to 15kg extra baggage onto the flight.

But the additional allowance is only valid on tickets bought in the UAE before September 30; for journeys that begin in Dubai, and for trips until December 13.

So basically, if you’re planning on heading home before the end of the year (but not too close to Christmas) and have lots of presents to carry with you, you’ll want to book your ticket in the next two weeks.

WHAT DESTINATIONS?

AN EXTRA 15KG FOR FLIGHTS TO…

Abidjan, Accra, Beijing, Dakar, Entebbe, Harare, Luanda, Lagos, Lusaka, Manila, Cairo, Casablanca, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Algiers, Guangzhou and Dar Es Salaam

AN EXTRA 10KG FOR FLIGHTS TO…

Amman, Islamabad, Kabul, Khartoum, Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Tunisia, Peshawar, Karachi, Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jakarta, Cebu, Clark and Colombo.

AND FOR INBOUND FLIGHTS TOO…

Now, all of the above extra baggage is for outbound flights to these destinations, however if you’re flying from Addis Ababa, Algiers, Manila, Cairo, Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, Beijing or Casablanca to Dubai you’ll also get a 45kg baggage allowance inbound. This means you can shop to your heart’s content back home and then bring your stuff back to the UAE with you.

And if you’re a Skywards member going to one of these destinations you can even more of a baggage boost: silver members can take an extra 12kg, gold members 16kg and platinum members 20kg (although if you’re platinum, you’re probably flying up the front).
