The new coaches are outfitted with TV screens and free WiFi…

Anyone who commutes between Dubai and Ajman for work can tell you that the hour-long journey each way can be a little tedious. And that doesn’t even take into account the additional time that can be spent stuck in traffic depending on what time of the day you are travelling.

Thankfully, there is now a reprieve for those who travel between the two emirates by bus in the form of a new fleet kitted out with aeroplane-style entertainment systems.

The new coaches are fitted with screens on the back of each seat that give passengers access to movies, music and the ability to browse the Internet.

For those that need to get work done, each bus is also outfitted with complimentary WiFi and USB plugs so that passengers can keep their smartphones charged.

Road trip, anyone?

A one-way trip from Dubai to Ajman on one of the new busses will cost you Dhs12. While a return ticket is a little higher at Dhs15 – not sure why that is, but at that price we’re not complaining.

The buses depart from the Al Rashidiya metro station in Dubai and from the main transport terminal in Al Musalla in Ajman.
