Because it’s never too early for turkey and all the trimmings…

It’s official, the holiday season is upon us. But just before you hang those stockings and trim the tree, there’s one more celebration to squeeze in. Although Thanksgiving is traditionally an American (and Canadian) holiday to give thanks for the harvest, there are plenty of Dubai restaurants getting in on the action.

So if you’re a homesick American, or just a fan of turkey, here are 12 places to enjoy Thanksgiving this Thursday 23 November in Dubai.

Baker & Spice

Local homegrown brand  Baker & Spice has introduced a Thanksgiving Menu inspired by the traditional home cooked feast.  Using ingredients supplied from their “Farmers Market on the Terrace” their select menu is available for takeaway and in restaurant dining throughout November. Highlights include a slow roasted turkey which serves up to 8 people

Catch Dubai

American export Catch is putting on a traditional thanksgiving spread on Thursday Nov 23rd. Chef Bobby G has created a menu of smoked turkey, oyster staffing, marshmallow sweet potato mash and turkey gravy served with a spiced apple cider for Dhs295 per head.

Clinton St Baking Company

Clinton St. Baking Company is offering both a dine-in Thanksgiving menu, as well as a takeaway option for the holiday this year. A takeaway turkey with all the trimmings costs from Dhs650, with traditional takeaway desserts from Dhs180. If you’re dining in, a traditional dinner plus sides, dessert and drink will be priced at Dhs150.

Cook Hall

Cook Hall will be hosting a ‘rolling brunch’ to celebrate Thanksgiving. There will be a three hour evening brunch menu, with dishes including roasted turkey, candied sweet potatoes and pecan pie all washed down with creamy spiced egg nog and mince pie martinis. Resident house band Advanced Creatures will provide a fitting Americana soundtrack to go with it.

J&G Steakhouse, The St Regis Dubai

Reviving the traditional Thanksgiving celebration, The St. Regis Dubai will be offering a four course set menu paired with house beverages this Thursday. The menu, curated by Chef De Cuisine, Diego Solis will include smoked pumpkin soup, slow-cooked turkey, served with all the trimmings and a pecan pie, topped with popcorn ice cream.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s international buffet restaurant is putting on a Thanksgiving themed spread this Thursday. It includes roast turkey with all the trimmings and selection of sweet pies, and comes with the options of unlimited house or sparkling beverages.

Legends at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht club is hosting a Thanksgiving themed Friday afternoon brunch this week on November 24. There will be special Thanksgiving Day delicacies served from live cooking and carving stations and a choice of seating inside or on the terrace overlooking the Dubai Creek.

Dubai’s all-American hangout, Perry & Blackwelder will be running day-long Thanksgiving celebrations on Thursday November 23 from 12pm onwards. There will be a two course set menu for Dhs250 per person centering around the traditional turkey, with live entertainment on the terrace from 9pm.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

Ruth’s Chris Steak House will be serving up a classic Thanksgiving feast, not to be missed by Americans and anyone else feeling celebrating Thanksgiving in Dubai. The three-course set menu offers either traditional Turkey with all the Trimmings, Lamb Lollypop or Petite Filet. Sides include sweet potato casserole, green beans sautéed and bread stuffing. Or if you’re having a festive feast at home, the venue are serving up a roast turkey takeaway service for Dhs650 for four to six people. 48 hour pre booking is essential.

Meat lovers favourite The Hide is throwing a traditional Thanksgiving feast this Thursday. The Chefs have prepared a special menu of Roasted Butternut Squash Salad to start, followed by Roasted Turkey Breast with all the trimmings. And for dessert, of course there’s Pumpkin Pie.

Yalumba’s popular brunchology is getting a Thanksgiving theme this Friday in celebration of the occasion.
