2. Tuck into a Curry on The Palm

Beachside gastro-pub The Tap House will be serving up a variety curries every Monday from 6pm in November. The pop up curry night will be hosted by weekly guest chefs with the likes of lamb vindaloo, classic chicken biryiani and chicken tikka masala to choose from. Pair your mains with crispy poppadoms, minty raita, papaya murabba, accompanied by your choice of veggies. It’s Dhs99.

3. Head to a new night brunch

One of our favourite Mediterrasian fusion restaurants Play is launching a new night brunch every Monday starting this week. It comes with four hours of free-flowing drinks, signature dishes, live entertainment and a glamorous dress code.

4. Check out some modern art

Fine art gallery West Contemporary introduces the talent of globally-recognised mixed-media British artist Carne Griffiths to the Capital Club in a show entitled Flight. The gallery offers art collectors in Dubai a selection of new and previously unseen works by the artist for the first time. Carne is known widely in the British contemporary art scene for the works he creates with unconventional mediums such as tea, along with more traditional materials such as paint and ink.

5. Enjoy sundowners and unlimited tapas by the sea

With the winter season now in full swing, Riva Beach has introduced a host of weekly offers to enjoy dining al fresco. On Tuesdays enjoy unlimited tapas and a bottle of wine from 7pm to 10pm for Dhs125. They’ve recently refurbished their indoor dining room with a Mediterranean feel, but we’d pick a spot on the terrace to soak up those Palm Jumeirah sunsets every time.

6. Head to a talk by a life coach

The latest in Flow’s series of inspirational talks takes place this Tuesday November 21. This time around, life coach Linda Bonnar, the UAE-representative for MindBridge Trainings and Women’s Health ME advisor, leads the conversation. Linda’s Activating Happiness talk will explore the little things we can do every day to improve our mental health and create our own happiness for a more fruitful life.

7. See a magic show

After two successful shows in Dubai last year, Dutch magician Arnaud is back this Wednesday to present his new creation The Art of Magic. In this new show Arnaud takes his audience on a journey through the world of magic, sharing the history of some of the tricks that he will perform on stage. Tickets are Dh100.

8. Design and Dine

With a new bi-monthly series, budding artists can learn to create their own masterpiece in a social dining environment at Design & Dine at Pure Sky Lounge. This month, guests at the event will learn to paint a traditional Arabic ‘Hamsa’ canvas as well as sampling food and drink from Pure’s 35th floor lounge menu.
