1. See a world-class DJ
The world’s number one electronic DJ, Hardwell, will make his debut appearance at Nasimi Beach on Thursday night. Taking place from 7pm to 3am, the Dutch progressive electronic house dynamo will touch down on Nasimi’s shores as part of his global tour, closing 2017 with an epic set of tracks from his stellar catalog. 2. Tuck in to a festive menu at Moe’s on the 5th
If you’ve not had your fill of festive feasting, jingle on down to Moe’s on the 5th for a three-course Christmas feast for Dhs295 per person including soft drinks. Festive favourites on the menu include foie gras terrine and chestnut veloute to start, and orange glazed duck confit and roasted venison loin for the main course.

3. Watch a festive fairytale at Ductac
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is this month’s festive panto at Ductac, where you can join Doc, Dopey, Bashful, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy and Happy as they help their new friend Snow White defeat the Wicked Queen. Expect a blend of professional actors and technical crew from the UK working alongside UAE-based performers.

4. See The Nutcracker for free at Dubai Mall
If you’re heading to Dubai Mall for DSF this weekend, you can catch live ballet mini performances of The Nutcracker. Taking place outside Galeries Lafayette, the performances are free to enjoy at 5pm, 6pm and 7.30pm.

5. Party Ibiza-style at a new weekly night
The famous Mambo Brothers are bringing their brand to Dubai full-time, with Cafe Mambo set to take over Soho Garden every Friday from this week. As well as monthly appearances from Christian and Alan Anadon, aka the Mambo Brothers, it’s also expected that international DJs will descend on the decks at the Ibizan brand. They’re kicking off with Franky Rizardo and Mat.Joe.

6. See an Arabic megastar at Media City
Arabic music megastar Amr Diab will perform at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre two days before New Year’s Eve. One of the region’s most popular musicians, the star is returning to one of his most beloved venues, the outdoor arena at Media City. Tickets start from Dhs195.

7. See a popstar perform at a Jumeirah hotspot
British popstar and X Factor winner James Arthur is set to take to the stage at popular Jumeirah Beach Hotel nightclub Mahiki this Friday, December 29. The hitmaker, who won the British reality TV show in 2012, rose to fame thanks to his easy-listening voice and popular acoustic covers.

8. Find your zen with free yoga
Every Friday throughout winter, there’s a free yoga class run by the stretchy experts from Lululemon. The classes take place outside on the Dubai Marina Mall promenade from 8.30am. There’s no need to re register, just show up on the day. Mats are provided.

9. Head to a ladies’ night with an urban superstar

12. Chill out at Dubai Garden Glow
It’s one of the city’s most Instagrammable spots thanks to its glow in the dark multi colour structures. And as it’s opened for its third season, it’s also added Dubai’s first ice park to its list of attractions. As well as the new ice park, there’s also a new ‘magical nights’ area littered with illuminated animal sculptures and a laser effects and lights show.
