A new dining destination by The Creek, a Thursday evening brunch, beachside revamp and a brand new bar in DIFC…

From wallet-friendly dinner deals perfect for pairs, to unique dining experiences you wouldn’t get anywhere else, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out in Dubai.

And if you’re looking for somewhere fresh to head to this weekend, we’ve rounded up three spots we reckon you won’t want to miss out on.

From a new dining destination by The Creek and a Thursday evening brunch, to a beachside revamp and a brand new bar in DIFC, here are three restaurants and a bar to check out this weekend.

The brand new: Brasserie Du Park

One part of the new dining destination, The Promenade, Brasserie Du Park is a new French restaurant in the Park Hyatt at Dubai Creek. Modeled after the quaint town of Deauville, Brasserie du Park has both contemporary indoor seating as well as al fresco options. The menu is varied and well executed, and once a few teething problems are ironed out, we reckon this might be a top new spot for taking visitors. Kick off with a drink at neighbouring Noepe, you won’t regret it.

Brasserie Du Park, The Promenade, Park Hyatt Dubai Creek, daily 12pm to 3pm and 7pm to 11.30pm. Tel: (04) 602 1234. More info on website

The evening brunch: Mercury Lounge

This lounge claims to be the only one in town that overlooks the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab. It’s at the top of the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, and the space itself is as attractive as that view. The Mercury Lounge brunch on a Thursday evening is one of our favourite ways of easing into the weekend. It’s a surprise menu designed to be shared, served up alongside free flowing house drinks and fantastic live entertainment.

Four Seasons Dubai Jumeirah Resort, Jumeirah, Dubai, Thursdays 8pm to 11pm, Dhs295. Tel: (04) 270 7777. More info on website

The beachside revamp: Beach Lounge

As part of the upgrade to the beachfront at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Beach Lounge has had a makeover and now sports some bright new furniture, colourful cushions and a new menu to match. It’s a great option for a light bight in front of the Burj. Be sure to kick off with the oysters- shucked fresh and served to you al fresco. It’s a menu of international bites, and you’ll find everything from pasta dishes to burgers there.

Beach Lounge, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah, daily 9am to 2am. Tel: (04) 432 3232. More info on website

The brand new bar: Flair No5.

This brand new al fresco urban jungle has just opened in the Ritz Carlton, DIFC. Formerly known as No 5 lounge, the bar has undergone a botanically themed revamp and the expansive space is now a leafy spot that’s great for post-work drinks. It’s got a lively vibe with an excellent choice of botanical cocktails, herb infused drinks and floral inspired sharing menu. It’s mainly about the drinks, but you can also order light bites designed to share such as rosemary flatbread and orange blossom s’mores.

Flair No.5, Ritz Carlton, DIFC, daily 5pm to 2am. Tel: (04) 372 2323. More info on website
