Dubai's royal family welcomes a baby girl

Congratulations are in order for Dubai’s royal family – who have welcomed a new arrival, a baby girl.
Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum, niece of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has given birth to a healthy baby girl, the royal announced on social media.
In the Instagram post, Sheikha Lateefa wrote. “Today God graced my husband and I a daughter who we named: Sana bint Abdullah Al Nahyan. May she grow up to be a person who always strives for good in this world.”

Several other royals have since taken social media to share their congratulations, including Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, daughter of the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The second-time mother is the founder and director of Tashkeel, a public studio providing specialist facilities for artists and designers living and working in the UAE. She achieved a Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts in 2007, and has been exhibiting her artwork since 2004.
The artist is already mother to a little boy, and recently celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary.
