London, Rome, Paris, Beverly Hills… and now Dubai.

You know the famous Dorchester Hotel in London? The one with the celebrity guests and fancy doormen and lavish afternoon teas?

Well, it’s just been announced that the iconic brand will soon be bringing its five-star hospitality to Dubai for the very first time.

Dubai-based developer Omniyat is joining forces with the Dorchester Collection to work on a new project on the banks of Dubai Canal.

The project will include a five-star hotel and luxury residences, managed by the hotel brand, at Marasi Business Bay.

To give you an idea of the potential levels of luxe the new hotel will have, this is what a Dorchester Collection Imperial Suite looks like (this is just the living room):

More details, including the project’s official name and a first look at the design, are expected to be revealed at an exclusive gala event in March.

Omniyat and Dorchester Collection have also hinted at working together on other projects in the region.

Aside from The Dorchester in London, Dorchester Collection also owns and operates several other luxury properties around the world, including Le Meurice and Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris, Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, Hotel Eden in Rome and The Beverly Hills Hotel and Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.

Dorchester Collection CEO Christopher Cowdray said of the Dubai project: “This is our first hotel and residence complex in the Middle East and we look forward to bringing our distinct style of hospitality to this region.”

We’re looking forward to those afternoon teas – here’s hoping they make it to Dubai, too…
