Heart 107.1 radio star Jade Worsley talks us through Dubai’s music scene…

Dubai has a special music scene; it caters to all the tastes in the world because there are many nationalities in one place.

It never ceases to amaze me all of the big names playing live in Dubai, from Katy Perry and Kygo to Roger Sanchez casually performing live at Soho Garden.

I really enjoy Zero Gravity on the weekend because it has a great atmosphere and, incredibly, established DJs playing most weekends. Q43 is also a lot of fun, especially on a Thursday night, when they play a lot of hip hop and R&B, which is right up my street.

During the day, I enjoy listening to the sweet sounds coming from the live saxophonist who plays at Address Dubai Marina.

We’re not short of local talent, either. Hollaphonic – made up of Greg Stainer and Olly Wood – have an amazing sound. They formed in 2012 in Dubai and were the first dance duo to be signed to a major record label in the Middle East.

Away from the music, I live life to the full, packing in my weekends with as much as I can. You’ll find me hanging around the Surf House heading out to paddleboard, flyboarding with Hydro Watersports, F1 racing at the Dubai Autodrome, or motocross riding at the MC Academy in Jebel Ali.
