And it may last for up to three months…

Dubai residents using Etisalat may face disruption to services over the next three months while the network provider carries out upgrades, the company has announced.

The upgrades to the network will be done in stages, according to a report by Gulf News, but the amount of consumers affected was not detailed by the network provider.

The disruption to the services is set to happen while Etisalat upgrades to the 5G network. When it arrives, which is set to be early in 2019, the 5G network will provide broadband-equivalent download speeds and super fast streaming to mobile networks around the world.

“We apologise to customers in advance for any inconvenience they may face during this transition,” said Etisalat of the disruption.
