Eye drops at the ready…

Dubai residents woke up to murky skies this morning as a dust storm hit the UAE.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said winds of up to 55km/h would whip up dust and sand over most internal and coastal areas throughout Thursday.

It warned of poor visibility less than 2000 metres at times.

It’s going to be a hot one, too – maximum temperatures are expected to reach 36-43C in coastal areas and 40-44C in internal areas, with humidity up to 85 per cent in coastal areas and 80 per cent in internal areas.
