“I am eternally grateful to Her Royal Highness Princess Haya and her global initiative, Anything Is Possible, for making this entire adventure possible…”

The global initiative ‘Anything is Possible’, founded by HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, has helped British adventurer and broadcaster Ben Fogle successfully climb Mount Everest.

Fogle, who is also the UN Environment Patron of the Wilderness, completed his two-month expedition just before dawn on Wednesday May 16.

Speaking from Everest Base Camp, Ben Fogle commented: “I am eternally grateful to Her Royal Highness Princess Haya and her global initiative, Anything Is Possible, for making this entire adventure possible, and providing the opportunity for us to help promote the work of the British Red Cross and my work as UN Environment Patron of the Wilderness.”

Princess Haya was also quick to congratulate the adventurer on his achievement: “Anything is Possible has an innate desire to discover extraordinary people and unique projects around the world that break boundaries, showing unrivaled determination and inspire future generations.

“By realising a life-long dream, one which many would consider to be beyond their reach or potentially impossible, Ben has lived the values of our initiative and shown that anything really is possible.”

The Anything Is Possible initiative was first set up by Princess Haya in 2017 in memory of her father, King Hussein I. The global initiative was created to support, promote and inspire the best in people, discovering and assisting with unique, boundary-pushing projects around the world.
