Tickets will cost Dhs99 for Dubai residents…

Get excited water park fans, there’s a brand new spot to get your adrenaline fix at, and it’s opening in La Mer this weekend. Located in the centre of La Mer at the end of the promenade, Laguna Waterpark will open for business on Saturday May 12.

Laguna Waterpark will feature a water slide complex with five main rides, as well as a pool lounge, children’s zone and lazy river. There will also be direct beach access, and cabanas.

Visitors will be able to purchase a day pass, which means you can come and go as you please. So you could head to the waterpark in the morning, leave and have lunch at one of La Mer’s restaurants, and return in the afternoon, without having to purchase another ticket.

Tickets will cost Dhs99 for residents when purchased online, which includes access to all rides, or Dhs125 when purchased at the gate. The attraction will cost Dhs159 for non-residents.

WHAT RIDES WILL IT HAVE?

Laguna Waterpark will be home to a ride called ‘The Ultimate Surf Machine’ – or the WaveOz 180 FloRider – which is one of only three in the world. Here’s an instructor giving a demonstration:

You’ll have a choice of five slides at the slide tower, with thrill-inducing names like The Manta, Constrictor, The Loop, Freefall and Mad Racer.

Here’s the spectacular view from the top of the slide tower:

Here’s a peek at the relaxing pool area – do we spy the makings of a swim-up bar?

See you on the slides!

Laguna Waterpark, La Mer, Jumeirah 1, daily 10am to 8pm, from Saturday May 12. Dhs99 for residents, Dhs159 for visitors. More info on website.
